A Course in Miracles, Lesson 271: “Christ’s is the vision I will use today.“. This lesson is about the choice we have in which way we want to look at life: With love or with fear?
Lesson 271 – In Other Words…
I choose to look on everything with the vision of my Higher Self.
Each day, each hour, every instant, I am choosing what I want to see and what I want to be the truth for me…
“Today, I will look at everything with Love and Forgiveness. Everything is perfect just as it is. I don’t need to understand it, I just need NOT add to the drama…”
Personal Experience: Awareness is required
What is required of me today, is to realize that it is my personal choice how I see people, things, circumstances – everything really.
When I choose to look at anything with love I realize life is easier and full of pleasure. When I begin to judge, I become dissatisfied and life appears to be bleak. It is not the material goods nor the lack of them which rule my happiness, but the way I look at the circumstances I find myself in.
Life provides what we have chosen. Sometimes the lessons are for ourselves, sometimes we are actors or some kind of participants (helpers, villains, protectors) in the lessons others need to learn.
There are really only two reasons each one of us is on this earth:
- To learn and grow
- To help others in their learning and growing
We don’t know why we are doing certain things from moment to moment – because we have simply forgotten why we are here in the first place. For some reason it is necessary to live in this oblivion – probably to be able to do what we came here to do.
Each one of us has a special function – and that function is almost an automatic reaction, almost as if programmed in to each individual genetic code. It rules our instinct, our desires and the choices we make.
The only choice we really have, is whether we want to look at the world with love or with fear. If we choose love, we trust, understand and forgive. If we look with fear, we judge, hate and retaliate.
Love gives as freedom and peace, fear imprisons us in our own hateful thoughts.
The choice is ours.
How do you feel about this?
What is your experience? I would love to know.
